E6 Film
Process E6 is the standard process for colour reversal film, also known as “Slide” or “Positive” film. Films for process E6 are marked “E6”
Colour reversal film (AKA slide film) is a rare breed these days, and so is top-notch E6 processing. In fact, we’re one of the few labs left in Europe still developing E6 film to the highest standard – and we take that responsibility very seriously.
At River & Coast, our E6 service is professionally monitored, with control strips run daily and analysed by densitometer (a fancy machine that makes sure everything stays on point). Plus, we process enough film to keep the chemistry in tip-top condition – which is crucial, because E6 thrives on consistency.
When it comes to scanning or printing your film, we don’t just let a machine do the job. Our experienced technicians actually look at your images (shocking, we know) and balance them by eye for colour, density, and contrast – so your results are beautifully consistent, frame to frame, roll to roll. Our goal? To bring out the best in your film, with a thoughtful balance of shadow and highlight detail.

We would always recommend using a tracked service to provide a bit more peace of mind when sending film to us and very importantly you must make sure to include the correct amount of postage for your parcel – a first class stamp won’t cut it!
